Hi all,
I don't know why I was inspired to write this. Probably because I was reading my grad year book from high school, but here it goes. What are everyone's fave memories of high school or university so far or if you have finished period. I think my favorite thing about high school for me was being involved in quire and the school musicals. They were always an enjoyable experience for me, and I made lots of friends, and met lots of new people. I also liked our Safegrad night. If anyone doesn't know what safegrad is it is a night that is devoted to all of the graduates where we all stay all night at the school together or are shipped out on a trip for the night. It is suppose to premote a safe graduation minus liquor and drugs. Lots of people usually attend and anyway, mine was the best night ever! I also liked graduation, and the prom to! Looking forward to reading other people's memories.

Hmm, interesting.
College has lots of different memories, the first night, being alone in a foreign country was very scary but the first week of hainging out with the International Student organization was fantastic.
I was involved in 3 musicals and enjoyed the last one a lot because I got to arrange the music for it, even if the main actor/singer took most of the credit it was a fun performance thing, we played it on Friday nights and people showed up rather intoxicated and loved the show to death (not sure whether it was a good show or they were just too drunk to tell the difference, but we played some David Bowie Tunes, Re Rebel Rebel e.g., it was great).
I made some very good friends in college that I am still close with and we had tons of good times, going out for smoothies, ice cream and sometimes for pina coladas was fun, trying to obtain liquor with a false ID was kinda fun in a way (nope I didn't party every day or anything but I did party quite a bit).
The first 3 years of beating Harvard (the Crimson Tied) at the annual football was fantastic, I was in the YPMB (Yale Precission Marching Band) and we put on some really cool shows really bashing the bastardds and ran around with cannons and flaming tubas screaming and yelling at their marching band, it was out of control fun, especially since we had about 60000 audiance half of which were on our side. Outside the games we actually got on quite well with the Harvard folks but that's beside the point.
I still think graduation was the most fun, knowing that beating the odds I had made it, finished my majors and was actually able to get a degree and a job. I was really lucky and it was incredible time for me and the most important thing is the friends I made that I still hold on to and hopefully will for a lifetime. ;)
End of cheese <grin>

my best memory about high school would not be graduation, i'm afraid. i was sick about two weeks before graduation with monno, and had to worry about passing out during my validictory speech. the best memory for me would be when i was in a courtroom play. i was playing the part of the defendant, and i was on trial for murder. So, watch out everybody. lol! But yeah, it was amazing! oh yeah, and meeting wildebrew during my senior year of high school. that was great too. *smiles*

2NDRY School hmm having an childish idiot who had bullied my friends and I for 6 months reveal his severe dyslexia to me.He thought learning braille would help his problem i kept the secret for about 10 minutes and revealed it to my friends who were nearly paralytic with laughter we knew this was a golden opportunity to blackmail the creature so we did for almost 3 months.

University ....That's easy the dual graduation of my brother Alistair and i our entire family was there Scots & Italian they were molto orgolioso {very proud} we had a great day and amusing due to me wearing the kilt {McEwan tartan} All i heard for a while was "Are you a true Scot Alexander let's see?" Smile. This amused Ally to no end it was a day none of us will never forget mostly because of the feeling of triumph relief and achievement after all that work & pressure.

My favorite high school memories from the first two years were adaptive P.E. and the special ed class parties, Resource Room (special ed study hall), and drama class playing the teacher in "Rebel Without a Cause". My faves from the last two years were lunches where we listened to all different types of music, all the writing classes I took, Improv, the Mother-Daughter day before graduation, and the graduation itself because it was not very traditional. We still marched down the aisle, but we all got to make impromptu speeches and such, so it was fun. College was OK, I liked voice class the most and Ear Training was better than Music Theory because I had the best ear in class and helped everyone out. R.O.P. working at the county building kinda sucked, but after March when I started volunteering at the local ILC, it was so great! Now I'm hoping I can get a student Visa to study abroad in Germany *crosses fingers*
